First Workday of Spring 2014

Today was our first Sunday workday of 2014, and while it's not like work stopped over winter break, it was certainly nice to get back into our normal routine.  We had a large group of engineers from Honda Powersports R&D stop by to check out the paddock and our designs for RW-2.x.  We're actually at the top of the design phase but the bottom of bike assembly.  The RW-2 is in as many parts as possible, having just come back from a 3D measurement session (generously provided by Honda).  Team efforts are focused on the layout for our new battery frame as well as electrical assembly and battery testing.  There's a lot of work to be done before our design review and the start of the build phase!
We had a very full house today, and it was great to see everyone out and working.  When I first started coming to CAR, I'm fairly certain there were three team members.  Today, our roster is well in excess of twenty full-timers and going strong.  We'll be starting more frequent updates (with pictures) now that the build phase is coming up.  2014 is going to be a busy year for Buckeye Current, and I think it's going to be a good one.
